Bias in the Documentary
This documentary is biased for several reasons. The director, Nanette Burnstein, only decides to include the perspectives of a few teenagers, but one does not have the full view from the all the other students that are involved. Also, the film focuses more on the negative aspects of high school which is shown by the tough experiences the students face; it rarely shows the positive and enjoyable moments that students experience in high school. Additionally, popularity and acceptance are very important which is shown by how the main five students see themselves. For example, Hannah does not want to go back to school because she fears that everyone is going to judge her.
